monday 2/23/09

Back to school today for me. I wish I could go later in the day because 6am does come early. It is really boring, just because this month we are just in class learning the billing and insurance. I cant wait to get back in the lab.
I went to my diabetes doctor today and had to up my insulin just a little but my blood pressure was a little high so I went to my OB. He said it wasn't too bad 124/82, but I could go on bed rest. I don't want that. I finish school in less than two months. We made a deal, I can go to school as long as I go home and rest and not do anything. John was there to hear that so he wont think I am making it up. The taking it easy part is easier said than done when you have two kids at home. Cassandra can take care of herself but JR cant. It would also be a lot easier if he could walk. Cassandra does help alot.
JR must have got "walker jacked" today because he had a little bruise on his head. I guess he will learn to be tough. He got to be in the big class all day. When we got there they were outside and playing with bubbles. He loves to say "bubbles" and "pop, pop".

Sunday 2/22/09

Today is Sunday. We are all home, except Cassandra who is still at her dad's.
I am not feeling too good today. Not sure why. I don't want to do anything so I probably wont.
John went to the gym today when JR took his nap and he got to play 3 games of basketball. He is just now starting to go to the gym so I know he will be very sore tomorrow. He also went to the grocery store. I was suppose to but didnt feel like it so him and JR went. He says this lady was giving out samples of strawberries and JR had one and said "more, more,more" over and over until he went back and got some. So i guess he likes strawberries.
My brother in law is really making me mad. When we did leave the house today, he dropped a beer and broke the bottle. I am not mad about that because I understand that was an accident. But the thing that pisses me off is he cleaned it up but he swept the glass into Cassandra's room and just left it there. What an idiot. For one, Cassandra doesn't want to smell beer and for two, the kids play in that room and there doesn't need to be glass in there. I just don't know what to do. t is like having another child, and one I don't like, at that.

Saturday 2/21/09

It is just me and JR today. He is a handful. He does like to watch cartoon all day. I think he is way too young to know that we can FF through commercials but he knows. He will even go to the couch and bring me the remote to FF. Is that bad? We took JR for his ride tonight when John got home to get him to sleep. He does sleep good in his toddler bed. I am glad because I don't think I would want him to sleep with me because I don't sleep very good when he is in our bed because he sleeps so wild. I don't know how people do it when their kids are older and sleep with them.
I think he could watch bubbles all day. I know he will say "bubbles" all day.
I shouldn't be this way but I am. I want my brother in law out. He just does things that irritate the crap out of me. On Fridays I always cook a little extra because I know I am going to be home all day Saturday and I don't want to cook all day long. So I put the extra in a bowl and in a drawer and under things, that should be the clue, don't eat. Well for some reason he doesn't get it. I don't think he has any common sense. Not sure where that eluded him. He also should be saving all the money he can for his own place, but he buys beer every day. He only has 5 weeks to get his own place. I do want to get JR in his own room before Ethan is here. Anyone have any suggestions? I guess that is enough bitching today.

Friday 2/20/09

TGIF!
I am glad I don't go to school on Friday. John and I get to spend a little time together because he doesn't have to work till later in the day. Sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes it is not.
JR likes his new big boy class. They have a fish tank. They say he loves to be outside and he uses his walker alot, until one of the other kids decides they want to take it from him. He does love to be outside.
Cassandra is off to her dad's today so it will be just me and JR tomorrow.

Thursday 2/19/09

Not much going on today.
JR is doing really good sleeping in his toddler bed. It is me that doesn't get much sleep because I am always up checking on him to make sure he is still in his bed. But he seems to like it.
Cassandra doesn't like not being able to go outside. She also has to play with JR more.
John works all day today so I took the kids up to see him after picking them up from school. He feed them so I didn't have to. I also got to bring a pizza home so I didn't even have to cook for myself. I guess John will have to fend for himself. He wont eat at work because he says he gets tired of smelling it.

Wednesday 2/18/09

Back to school today for me. I think it is going to be a very boring month because we are doing insurance and we are going to be in the classroom all month and not the lab. I would rather be in the lab.
I went to the doctor today and when the MA took my blood pressure it was high 136/86. That was the first thing the doctor saw. He asked her " Did you let her rest before you took it" and she said yes, which she hadn't. So he took it and it was good. Don't scare me like that. That is the reason JR was born 6 weeks early and I was on bed rest the last 3 months. I don't want to go through that again. I have only gained about 12 pounds so that helps too.
JR went to school today and got to work with the therapist. She said he did really good with his walker. He walked outside, up the ramp, in the grass and everywhere he could go. He did get tired after about 10 minutes but then was happy to be able to play on the swings. He does love being outside.
Cassandra is in trouble and cant go outside for two days. I told her to come straight home at 245p because I had a doctors appointment. Well at 305p she wasn't home so we went to look for her and couldn't find her, so we had to go to the doctors. She knows that is for some reason we are not home when she gets home she is to go to her friend's house. John dropped me off and then went back to look for her. She says she came straight home but then she admitted she didn't even come check. so she is in trouble.
John's brother is driving me crazy. I cant wait for us to have the whole house to our self and JR to have his own room. We told him not eat the soup I made because I was going to eat it the next day and what does he do, he eats it. He also ate my sugar free ice cream, he should know that will get him kicked out ASAP :). Only 5 more weeks and he should have his own place.

Tuesday 2/17/09

We didn't have school today. For that I am very thankful. I always love to stay home.
It wasn't much of a day off though because I still had to get up at 6am to get the kids ready for school and get John to work since I needed the car because JR had a doctors appointment. I just wish one day I could relax all day. Maybe in 18 years :).
I had to pick JR up from school at noon today so I woke him up from his nap. So I know he should go to bed on time tonight. We took him to the neurologist today for a check up on his spine. It was a quick trip and i looks good. In 6 months she does want an MRI to make sure all the fluid is gone in his spine.
John worked in the morning and I had to pick him up early so he could go with me. He didn't mind that.

Monday 2/16/09

Cassandra didn't have school today. I am sure alot didn't. She was happy she got to play outside all day.
I had school today. We had the end of mod test. I am glad it was open book. Only 8 more weeks of class. Only 8 more weeks till the baby is born too. I guess we are cutting it very close.
JR had school today. He really likes going.
We went and bought JR a toddler bed and I think next time we will have to pay somebody to put things together because it never goes good. We also bought him a potty chair, I think I am ready but I am not sure about him. We'll see.
No school for me tomorrow. Yeah.
We are trying to get my brother-in-law out of our house. It is hard because he is not responsible enough to take care of himself but he is over 30 and it is time he goes. I could go on and on about that but not too much at one time. We should have him gone by the time the baby comes.

Sunday 2/15/09

The whole family is home today. Not sure if that is a good thing :)
We did go grocery shopping today. I do not like doing it on Sundays because it is so crowded. Luckily we didn't have to take JR because Cassandra was here to watch him. Their uncle was also here so it's not like she did it herself, but she thinks she did.

Saturday 2/14/09

Happy Valentines Day!
John was at work all day. He did get me some flowers and good grilled red snapper for dinner and brought it home. That was nice.
Cassandra was here this weekend. She stayed the night with a friend last night. She says she is Cinderella around the house because I make her do chores. She is funny.
JR has learned to use his legs more. The other day he flipped out of the crib so it was time to take out the extra mattress. Luckily he wasn't hurt. Today he has learned to use his legs to pull himself up on the couch. At least he know how to back down. He thinks he is so big.
I didn't do much today. I clean here and there but I get tired easy. I guess that is to be expected.

Friday 2/13/09

Friday the 13th.
Just a few things going on the world right now.
1. Plane crash yesterday and unlike the one a few weeks ago nobody survived. It is sad.
2. I just saw on the news today a story about what is in holiday chocolates. They tested 4 brands. Three brands had cellulose, which is just cotton fibers. One brand, one of the most expensive available had cellulose and they found an insect part, that they think was a head. The bad part of that is per the FDA they are allowed 60 insect parts per 1/4 lb of chocolate. Now that is gross. I don't think I will want chocolates anymore.
3. I really like Toby Keith. He made the news. He was performing at a concert and a fan threw a beer up on stage and flipped him off. Toby followed they guy and caught up with him and had a little "talk" with him. Good for him.
JR went back to school today, just in time to get his first Valentine cards. He is learning to walk with a walker and had his therapy today. They say he is doing really well. He is moving up to the next class at school. Yeah!
Cassandra is spending the night with friends tonight. A night of movie and pizza and staying up all night. She should be really enjoyable tomorrow and helpful (Just kidding). She did help me clean today so that was good.
John is working tonight. He is into World of Warcraft. I am lucky because he doesn't play 24/7 like alot of those that are into it. He just plays at night before we go to bed.
Well that is enough for tonight. It is time to get JR ready for bed.

Thursday 2/12/09

I couldn't go to school today. JR was up half the night crying. He has real bad allergies and eczema and they were acting up. The only time he wasn't crying was when he would scratch. I had given him Zyrtec earlier but I broke down and gave him more and he finally went to sleep at 2am, in our bed. So since he was in our bed sleeping we were not sleeping. I am so glad he sleeps in his own bed, usually. We have tried everything for the eczema and nothing works great. Luckily we live in a part of the country that has high humidity and warm weather. It doesn't bother him in the summer, as much, just for a couple of months in the winter when it is dry and cold. If anyone has any suggestions on the eczema please share them with me.
Cassandra was almost in so much trouble today. She stays after school and walks home and is suppose to be home at 4p. Today she wasn't home at 5p so I get dressed and start to get JR dressed and she walks in the door all happy. I cant believe it. I said "you are in so much trouble. What time do you get out of school?" She says "4p" and I said "What time is it now?" She says "5p" and I said "that is why you are in so much trouble." and then she says "but mom, you said I could stop at the Valentine party at the office." Oh yeah, I forgot, must be the pregnancy :) I felt really bad for being mad at her.
John had to work all day today. He did let my practice drawing blood on him yesterday, and I got him. He has also let me give him a few shots, what a good sport.
To end the day we did take the kids for a car ride to get JR to sleep. That is the easy way. We were at home in bed by 10p. Yeah. What a long day, it always starts at 6am.

Wednesday 2/11/09

JR was up all night not feeling well so he stayed home with John and I went to school.
On school today we got to work in the lab. I drew 3 people's blood and actually got some all 3 times. Yeah! I am still a little nervous drawing blood but I guess that will go away with practice.
I also got to give 3 injuections. I don't mind the blood but I have shots. Not so much giving but receiving. Luckily since I am pregnant alot in the class are scared to try and take my blood or give me shots. I only had 1 person do my blood today and I had to volunteer for that.
Cassandra got to go on a field trip to Sea World today, she was really excited and had alot of fun.

Welcome

I am not sure where to start. I have been thinking about doing this for a long time but I never seem to have the time. I think it is a good way to keep track of my thoughts day to day. I will try and keep this as up to date as possible. Thanks for taking the time to read and give any suggestions you might have.
