Wednesday 3/25/09

Took JR for his checkup. He weighs 24 pounds. He had to get a Hep A shot, so that didn't make him happy. We had to wake him up from school so he was really grouchy anyway. Luckily he doesn't get sick when he gets his shots. We switched doctors because we use to take him to a children's clinic but we had to wait 3 hours so now I got someone with no wait. He sees a specialist for all of his major problems so I just need someone to weigh and measure him and give him his shots. I can usually tell myself if something is wrong then we can go to the ER.
Only 2 1/2 more weeks. Only a few more days till Joey is out. I cant wait.

Sunday 3/22/09

Today we got the kids a poodle. We like big dogs but it is hard to have one in our apartment. Her name is Princess. She is a white, four year old toy poodle. She is really cute and doesn't bark, which I like because most poodles bark alot. She is really good with the kids. I hope it stays that way. Cassandra likes sleeping with her. I found her on Craigslist. I had been looking for awhile.

Thursday 3/19/09

I didn't go to school today. Not that I wasn't feeling good but I knew our teacher wasn't going to be there so I did not want to go.
Also I had to schedule my OB appointment early at 1130am because my doctor is going out of town for the weekend. My luck I will have the baby this weekend.
They just weighed me, I gained 1 pound for the week. He said I wasn't dilated or even close, nice try.

Wednesday 3/18/09

Today was the last day of the mod for the class. Only one more mod and then externship. We had our final today and I got a 96. For some reason I can never get a 100. I am not complaining though.
JR's Early Childhood Intervention counselor came over today. They are going to start him with speech therapy. He says words but no one can understand him. She says he is doing really good with his walker. He loves to be outside.

Monday 3/16/09

Went to the diabetes doctor today at 845am. I was suppose to go tomorrow but John has to work in the afternoon because it is St Patricks Day and a pub by his work has a big crowd and his restaurant is going to sell pizzas so he gets to roll them out all night. Lucky him. Well I wish I hadn't had to change because I didn't get out till 1115. It was horrible, they were so busy. I had every intention of going going to school after the appointment but since it was so late it wasn't worth the drive.
Everything was good at the doctors. I am so ready to get this over with. Only 4 more weeks.

Sunday 3/15/09

Went to the Baby Expo today. It was OK. JR was acting up but it got us out of the house for a few hours. I know my hips hurt all night because I walked so much. Got alot of samples and tried alot of new things. Cassandra had fun.
Then we went to the grocery store...more walking. I guess it is good for me. I have all of my coupons but I was so tired I didn't feel like messing with them. I really do need to get more organized...maybe one day.

Thursday 3/12/09

Today we got 1.71 inches of rain. That is great considering that is more rain than we got all of 2008. I love to sleep in the rain. It just makes me lazy and not want to do anything.
Cassandra came back from her dad's today and went straight to her friends house and spent the night.
I am going to try and go again to Walgreens and see if I can get the diaper deal again. We can always use more diapers and wipes.
John works all day today. He is going to bring home a pizza because we forgot to put the chicken in the fridge last night and had to throw it away. I hate when we do that.

Wednesday 3/11/09

Joey did go and get his tattoo off. It cost $150.00 and he needs a few more sessions but I am not sure he will go get it done.
Not much going on today. It is raining and cold, in the 40's but I like it. It is so much easier to sleep when it is cold and not hot.
I don't know how the octomom carried 8, I cant handle carrying one.

Tuesday 3/10/09

I am so glad we are actually suppose to get some rain this week. We are 3 inches below normal for the year so far and last year we were 18 inches below normal. We couldn't even have fireworks for New Years because it was so dry.
Joey came home and says he has to get his tattoo off tomorrow. I don't know why he would get his name on his hand in the first place. Maybe so he wouldn't forget it. I guess also he forgot his name was Joey and not Joe.
I had John go to CVS for me last night. I got 3 Garnier Fructis shampoos at 3/10.00 and had 1.00 coupons and got 5.00 ECB's back so it is like 3 for .67 a piece. I got Crest ProHealth Toothpaste free and Secret Flawless for .99. It was a good deal. I wish I could find deals on groceries. Not enough competition around here though.

Monday 3/9/09

I didn't go to school today because JR was up too late so I didn't feel like I got any sleep. Always up to go to the bathroom.
We went to the Lion and Rose Pub for lunch. They have very good fish and chips but I got the chicken strips and chips. It was good. It was also in our budget.
Joey is not very bright. He has known for a few weeks that his job didn't allow him to have tattoos that showed but he has been trying to hide the one on his hand with makeup. Well his boss saw it and says hr has till Wednesday to get rid of it. He thinks he can go get it done in one session and it would cost about $40.00. I think that is crazy but we will see. I don't care anymore because he has enough money saved for a few weeks somewhere and he will no longer be our problem.
Cassandra called me today to tell me 3 weeks till Joey moves out. Even she is counting down.
I did go find a pediatrician for the baby so I can have him circumcised when he is born. I am going to switch JR too. Not that I don't like his doctors but he goes to a clinic and waiting 3 hours is horrible. All I need a new doctor for is checkups, shots and colds. He goes to specialist for all of his other problems but not as much as before.

Sunday 3/8/09

One more week till Baby Expo. I hope I am feeling good enough to go and do all of that walking.
I think it is a good thing we are having another boy because right now JR's favorite toy to play with is Cassandra's pink Barbie car and his favorite thing on TV is Cheetah Girls. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
We were going to go to the zoo today but I want to save my walking for next week.
I did go to Walgreen's today and got a very good deal on Huggies. They have them for $10.00 and when you buy $30.00 you get $10.00 back. I had 3 $5.00 coupons so it is like 3 packs for $5.00. Which is good. Also I can send for a rebate of .75 for each package. I didn't have a coupon for JR's size but at least Ethan will have diapers for a little while. I also got hair color for $1.99. I cant believe how gray my hair has got. I also picked up a Glade Sense and Spray for .99. It was a pretty good day at Walgreens.
We also went grocery shopping at WalMart and stayed on budget with money left. We only spent $40.00, I think that is the least we have ever spent.
I cant believe how much an hour time change throws off a body. It was really bad for JR. He didn't go to bed till 11p so that means I went to bed late. I hope it doesn't take him long to adjust. I don't think I can handle it.

Just me and JR today. I know I have said this before but I will be so glad when he has his own room and own TV. I don't like cartoons.

Friday 3/6/09

Not much going on today.
I went to see my therapist today. Yes I go to one, it's free so why not. I think it helps alot. She is very proud of me because I wrote a letter to my brother-in-law about everything he does that drives me crazy. I know it is not talking to him directly but I write letters. I don't like to talk.
Cassandra is off to her dad's for most of spring break. I guess that is good because the only day I get off for spring break is Thursday. Oh yeah.
We have been listening to Dave Ramsey for awhile now and we have finally decided to try and do a budget this week. I will let everyone know how that goes. The one good thing is we don't have any credit cards. We always live paycheck to paycheck. It might help to see where the money is going.

I didn't go to school today. I think I wanted a 4 day weekend. I enjoyed being home and resting.

Wednesday 3/4/09

I went to my OB today and blood pressure is still good. He made sure I was registered at the hospital, which I am. I am so ready. He says I will spend 2 nights in the hospital, for a c-section that doesn't seem like long enough but he is the doctor.
Today was John's day off. He had to go pay two tickets he forgot he had from last year. The police were giving everyone a break this week and next week they were going to start arresting. He only had to pay $40.00 because he got it taken care of, no inspection and no tags, right after he got the ticket he just never went to court to show them. $40.00 is always better that $300.00.
Cassandra is excited because next week is spring break.

Tuesday 3/3/09

Went to the diabetes doctor today. My blood pressure is back to normal. I guess it is a good thing I took it easy this last week. Had an ultrasound and everything is looking good. Cassandra keeps hoping the baby will change into a girl, but no such luck.
6 more weeks until Ethan is born, if not sooner. I hope not because if he was born now and got to come home he would be naked because we haven't bought any clothes for him yet. I am waiting till Joey moves out so we can have the room. Only 4 more weeks and we will be free. Even Cassandra is counting down.
Cassandra had her TAKS test today. I just don't understand how the Texas school system can put all of the emphasis on one test. I think it is crazy. Cassandra does get good grades but I think it later years it will be stressful.

Sunday 3/1/09

We were going to take the kids to the zoo today but it was way too windy. I think it was blowing 30MPH. Maybe next week. At least it is not cold.
Not much going on today. It is a lazy day for all of us.

Saturday 2/28/09

I am happy because the weather is starting to change. We have already had one day of 90 degrees but that is all. I like the summer because JR's skin isn't as bad as it is in the winter.
John is off with me today. He finally gets a Saturday off and what are we going to do, nothing. I think he outgrown only wanting mac and cheese. He wont eat it at all right now. He has switched to liking fish sticks and chicken nuggets. At least it is meat. He also loves fruit. I think he would live off of it if he could.
John is sick on his day off, figures. I think Cassandra got us both sick.
Joey is still driving me crazy. Last night he opened a jar of peanut butter. Now that wouldn't sound so bad but I think he could have used one of the 4 OTHER jars he has opened. He acts so much like a little kid but worse. We have started making him give us his money so we can save it. He is out in a little over 3 weeks. Yeah!

Friday 2/27/09

TGIF!
I am glad we don't have school on Fridays. I hate that I still have to get up at 6am and get the kids ready and get JR to school.
Joey, the brother-in-law, is really driving me crazy. It is like having another kid, even though he is 35. He was off the last two days and he just brings all of his dirty dishes out of his room and puts them in the sink. I don't think I should have to wash them. I am suppose to be the one taking it easy and getting the rest. John talks to him but it does no good. He hasn't have to pay us for bills since December so he could save and move out. All he has is less than $300.00. He told John he needs to treat him like a little kid and take his money from him when he comes home. John will but I think he should do it on his own. I guess when he moves out he will have to do it because he is not moving back in with us, that is for sure.
Cassandra is off to her dad's for the weekend. I did get it settles with child support. He hasn't worked in three years so he owes alot of back. I don't really care about the back but a little help would be nice.

Thursday 2/26/09

I told my teacher I wasn't going to school today. I was going to stay home and take it easy. No kids, no John but that is easier said than done. I get to looking at the house and I have to clean it up a little.
Cassandra is not going outside today. She is in trouble for lying...again. When will she learn. Probably not for awhile. It is not bad to stay in. She has her DS, she has cable TV, the only thing she doesn't like is having her little brother in her room.

Wednesday 2/25/09

Not much going on today.
In school today we didn't do much. We sat in on a meeting for our externship. I am not sure where I want to try and work yet. There are a few that look good. I am not sure I want to do pediatrics because I don't think I want to put up with sick kids that much. I do know when I continue on to RN I want to work in L&D.
I was suppose to go to court today for a child support hearing for Cassandra. It has gotten put off the last three times I have gone so maybe if I don't go it will happen. I hope so.
John was off today so he dropped me off at school. He went a washed clothes. We had alot. I cant wait to move in to a place with washer and dryer connections. It is such a pain the butt to have to go out and wash clothes.
I got my papers for the C-section. It is scheduled for April 13th and I have to be there at 530am. That is way early.

Tuesday 2/24/09

Happy Birthday Quentin! I cant believe my oldest son is 18. If I didn't have a daughter that was 20, that would make me feel so old.
Today in school all we did was go to the computer class and do our resumes. It is so boring.
John has to work all day today so he can have Saturday off. He cant wait to have have two days off in a row. It has been so long.
